Bodiam relived the days when it was the centre of the local hop growing industry with a hop picker's festival and reunion on Saturday
There was glorious sunshine for the event, which took place around Bodiam Station.

Steam trains from the Kent and East Sussex Railway ferried people to and from the event.

Attractions included steam engines and vintage vehicles and there were plenty of hop bines on display.

A beet tent did a brisk trade throughoyt the day with the nearby Rother Valley Brewery providing a special Hopper's Ale to mark teh occasion.

Visitors enjoyed displays of Morris dancing and the entertainment went on into the evening when peopel gathered around a fire to sing songs and share memories.

The hop picking festival has now become an annual event and plasn are already underway for next year.
