Brede Church Flower Festival - still going strong after 29 years

Hundreds of people visited historic St George's Church at Brede at the weekend when the big annual flower festival took place.
They were able to admire more than 60 displays which has the theme of the theme of The Church Year.

Arrangements depicted events such as Christmas, Easter and Mothering Sunday.

The Festival, which is put on by a dedicated band of volunteers, is now in its 29th year.

Visitors were able to enjoy refreshments and climb the church tower to enjoy spectacular views over the Brede Valley.

Steve Edwards, from the church, said: "Brede Flower Festival relies on those who live in the Parish or who have or have had some connection with the Parish.

"Everyone keeps saying that it gets better each year."
