Dedicated Barbara still helping the elderly at 85

Staff amd members at Rye Age Concern Day Centre raised a glass this week to celebrate the 85th birthday of its founder Barbara Wild.
Barbara started the centre back in November 1983. She stepped down from the role of co-ordinator but has continued to work as a volunteer ever since.
Barbara was presented with a bouquet of flowers by the centre's management committee chairman Ray Fooks.
Co-ordinator Kate Head said: "Barbara is also a dedicated wildlife enthuisiast and is very involved with projects at Lime Kiln Cottage, at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and with Mallydams Wood at Fairlight."
