Police are appealing for information following reports that chemical waste has been dumped in the river at Robertsbridge.
This could be by means of a tanker parked up and pumping into the river, looking like it is cleaning the river out, or via a manhole.

Robertsbridge Police Community Support Officer Tina Grevett said: "If anyone sees something of this nature or anyone looking suspicious around the river, please ring 999.

"If you have already seen anything that you deem could have been suspicious, please call 0845 6070999 and quote serial 897 of April 23 or call/text me on 07810676247."
