Competitors from around the world attended to compete for prize money in excess of £35,000, making this horse show one of the richest and most prestigious events on the equestrian calendar.

Rudi Kronsteiner from Austria, last years NRHA Open World Champion, won the big open event and Cira Baeck from Belgium, last years NRHA Non Pro Champion, won the Non Pro Class.

Hubertus Jagfeld from Germany took home the honours in the Western Pleasure classes.

Combined with judges from Sweden, Germany and America, this was truly an international event.

Home-based British competitor Francesca Sternberg took third in the Reining and the British team selection committee were present to nominate this year's team for the FEI World Games.

The show was broadcast on the internet in real time through live stream and with more than a 1,000 spectators present, organisers say the event will be talked about for a long time to come.

On Saturday afternoon, prior to one of the main events, Sir Donald Sinden, the well-known actor who resides in Tenterden, opened the new indoor international-sized riding arena.

This is the largest arena of its kind in the South of England and will give opportunity for riders at International and Olympic level as well as young riders to train in a safe and dry environment year round.

Honorary president Michael Schumacher, seven times Formula One World Champion, was among the crowd to support the event and was delighted that the event was such a success.
