Rye Mayor Greets New York Choir

Rye Mayor Sam Souster welcomed a visiting choir from Rye, New York, on Saturday
The choir were on their first international tour singing at Evensong in Wells, Salisbury and Chichester Cathedrals.

They decided to end their tour with a visit to their famous namesake and performed at St Mary's Church.

They sang at both the 10.30am and 6pm services on Sunday.

A welcoming party greeted the choir when it arrived in town on Saturday afternoon.

It included the Mayor, The Revd Canon Hugh Moseley, Rector of Rye; the Town Crier ; churchwardens and members of the congregation.
