Here is an update of crimes reported in the Rye area during the past week
POLICE are concerned over the whereabouts of a chainsaw that was stolen from a property at Playden, near Rye.
The bright orange Stihl MS290 chainsaw was stolen when a house at New England Lane, Brede, was broken into sometime between mid January an
d early June.
Police are appealing for witnesses to this offence, along with anyone who may have been offered a similar chainsaw in suspicious circumstances.

BUILDING materials were stolen from a property at Primrose Hill, Fairlight at 9.30am last Thursday.
A suspicious white flat bed truck was seen driving away.

LEAD was stolen from the roof of public toilets at Rye's Gun Gardens overnight last Wednesday.
It is the latest incident in a series of thefts of lead from the Rye area.
The toilets were closed at the time due to an earlier act of vandalism.

A SILVER Mondeo car was sprayed with paint at Commanders Walk, Fairlight, on Thursday afternoon.
It follows incidents where another car, and the Activate youth club building, in the village, were sprayed with red and white paint.

A CIRCULAR saw, a bench saw and a tile cutter were stolen from a garden shed at Farm Lane, Camber.
The break-in took place overnight last Tuesday/Wednesday.
