An audience of around 100 people enjoyed open air Shakepseare at Winchelsea.
Winchelsea councillor Richard Comotto said: "After a gloomy start to the day and a heavy downpour at 5:00pm, the skies cleared and the sun emerged to produce a glorious evening for the annual outdoor performance of Shakespeare in the garden of Cleveland House by the Rain and Shine Theatre Company.

The play this year, "A Winter's Tale", was watched by an audience of about 100, many of whom picnicked before the event.
"Profits are going to the Winchelsea Archaeological Society. Next year's play will be "The Taming of the Shrew".
