Football washed away by heavy rain

Football was completely washed away by the horrendous weather at the weekend.

The entire Ryman League Premier Division and Sussex County League programmes fell victim to waterlogged pitches, while only one ADA East Sussex League match went ahead and that was on a 3G surface.

This was the scene at The Salts in Rye, The Clappers in Robertsbridge, Crowhurst Recreation Ground and Bulverhythe Recreation Ground yesterday (Sunday) morning.
