Sidley match off as well

Sidley United have had yet another game called-off

Sidley United have had yet another game called-off

Sidley United’s match at home to Shoreham tonight (Tuesday) has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The John O’Hara League Challenge Cup quarter-final has been called-off after the Gullivers playing surface failed an inspection.

Rye United’s scheduled visit from East Preston in Sussex County League Division One was postponed earlier today for the same reason.

Both clubs are facing huge fixture pile-ups over the coming weeks having had numerous games called-off during a soggy winter.

Rye still have 23 league matches to play, while Sidley have 20 league fixtures and at least one cup tie still to cram in.
