Strikes by Barry Cogan, Harry Stannard and a Jack Harris double gave the U's a 4-0 win away to Whyteleafe, and moved them up to ninth in Ryman Football League Division One South.

Whyteleafe, however, had two decent chances during a scoreless first half. The first was put wide when through on goal and the second was a free header that went straight at United goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley.

There were few openings at either end during the second half until Cogan put United ahead with a 74th minute penalty. That was the cue for the floodgates to well truly open and just a minute later, Stannard collected a ball from Harris before rounding the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

Harris remarkably made it three goals in four minutes by chesting the ball down and curling home a shot from the edge of the area. Harris then headed home a cross from the left in the 84th minute for his second and United's fourth.

United have now scored 17 goals in their last three games and boast the best goal difference in the division. They trail Cray Wanderers - who occupy the final play-off spot of fifth - by six points and have three games in hand.
