Hastings Futsal Club has achieved FA Charter Standard status

Hastings has become the first futsal club in Sussex to achieve the Charter Standard Club Award.

The coveted award was presented by Sussex County FA football development officer Keveena Mosen to Hastings Futsal coaches Graham Knight and Dan Barrellie along with players from the club’s under-14s section.

Hastings Futsal Club provides futsal coaching for men’s, ladies’, boys’ and girls’ teams. All managers hold coaching qualifications, with safeguarding children and emergency aid certificates, and have been through the FA Criminal Record Checks.

Barrellie, head of youth development at Hastings Futsal Club, said: “This is a great achievement in our progress as a club. Our focus and strategy has always been to create a fun and safe environment for the children to learn and that we want to be the best club we can possibly be.

“The Charter Standard award is dedicated to all of our players and just as importantly our dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly off the court.

“We would like to thank the Sussex County Football Association and Sussex Futsal Association for all of their support over the past 12 months.”
