Little Common Football Club can move into a promotion position with victory at home to Oakwood tonight (Tuesday).
The Commoners can go two points ahead of third-placed Eastbourne United AFC in Sussex County Football League Division Two with just one game remaining if they beat an Oakwood side fighting for its lives at the opposite end of the table.
Common have won their last four games and were 3-1 victors in August’s reverse fixture. Oakwood have picked up just one point from their last four fixtures and are only one above the two relegation places.
Elsewhere tonight, Rye United could go as high as third in Sussex Division One with three points away to Hailsham Town. Rye have lost just one of their last 16 outings and were 2-1 winners in September’s reverse fixture.
Westfield have the chance to move level on points with fifth-placed Broadbridge Heath in Division Two if they win away to bottom club Saltdean United. That match kicks-off at 7.45pm and the other two will get under way from 7.30pm.
