A host of talented young players have been included in the Arsenal squad for the eagerly-anticipated friendly away to Hastings United.
The party will be made up of up-and-coming reserves and Academy starlets who will visit The Pilot Field on Tuesday July 19, kick-off 7.45pm.
Perhaps the most well known players included in the indicative squad list are Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Sanchez Watt who last season had spells on loan in the Championship.
Midfielder Emmanuel-Thomas made 14 appearances for Cardiff City, while Watt - who can play out wide and in attack - was involved in 22 games for Leeds United.
Both players have also appeared in the Arsenal first team, with Watt scoring on his debut against West Brom in the Carling Cup.
Two other players pencilled in - Spanish defender Ignasi Miquel and midfielder Conor Henderson - have also turned out for the front side.
The squad includes a number of other budding stars such as Luke Freeman who was the youngest ever Gillingham debutant at just 15 years and 233 days, and highly rated forward Benik Afobe who while on loan last season helped Huddersfield Town reach the League One play-offs.
The Arsenal matchday squad will be selected from the following players: Goalkeepers - Damian Martinez, Sean McDermott, James Shea; Defenders - Daniel Boateng, George Brislen-Hall, Sead Hajrovic, Ignasi Miquel, Nicolas Yennaris; Midfielders - Chuks Aneke, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Conor Henderson, Jernade Meade, Oguzhan Ozyakup, Sanchez Watt; Forwards - Benik Afobe, Luke Freeman, Rhys Murphy.
It is hoped that a definitive squad will be available in the final few days before the game.
Advance tickets for the friendly can be purchased via the club on (01424) 444635. They are priced at £10 for adults, £7 concessions (with proof of age) and £3 under 18s, while under-12s will get in free with a full paying adult. Main stand tickets will cost an additional £1.
Hastings will begin their pre-season friendlies with a trip to Dover Athletic tonight (Tuesday).
