H&B nilled by rampant leaders

Hastings & Bexhill Rugby Club was soundly beaten by table-topping opposition on Saturday.

The William Parker Sports College-based outfit lost 54-0 away to London Three South East leaders Heathfield & Waldron.

H&B remain fourth-from-bottom of the table because rock-bottom Old Gravesendians, the only team beneath them in action at the weekend, went down 41-5 at Medway.

Results: East Grinstead 25 Crowborough 12; Heathfield & Waldron 54 HASTINGS & BEXHILL 0; Medway 41 Old Gravesendians 5.

Rye Rugby Club, meanwhile, was without a game in Sussex Division One, but remains second-from-bottom because basement boys Lewes II lost 59-5 to high-riding Crawley.
