Wicks, who will be the first Arnold Palmer Cup participant from Jacksonville University, qualified for Team Europe by finishing in the top six of the Arnold Palmer Cup Player Ranking.

Team Europe contains players from five countries, the others being Sweden, Norway, Scotland and Ireland. Only one of the 10-man team played in the victorious squad last season.

Wicks is in his second season at Jacksonville University in Florida having previously enjoyed two very successful years at Midland College in Texas.

The 2014 and 2016 Sussex amateur champion played for England at the Jones Cup Invitational in Georgia last February.
