Danny Sapsford and Luke Milligan will be the special guests for a fun family day out filled full of tennis at the Amherst Road-based club on Sunday May 24.

Come visit the club and the fantastic new clubhouse, play some tennis, and then sit back and watch how the professionals do it.

Arranged with the aim of raising money for club funds and to promote tennis in the area, the day will consist of coaching for all levels of tennis from the ex-professionals, as well as some fun, tennis-based fitness classes.

There will also be a showcase match involving the Davis Cup stars and a couple of Amherst coaches.

A huge raffle is on the agenda with prizes including holidays to Austria and Turkey, as well as a signed Tim Henman racquet.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day with a barbecue, ice creams and a fully licensed bar.

It will get underway around midday. Entry to the club is free, however the coaching costs £5 for juniors and £10 for adults. To book your place for the coaching, call Jack on 07704 774017.

A club spokesman said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to get into tennis. Come visit the club and the fantastic new clubhouse, play some tennis, and then sit back and watch how the professionals do it. Everybody is welcome, juniors and adults alike.”
