Sidley are back on top of Division Three (East) in the Sussex Cricket League.

Scott Woodroffe’s side made it four wins from its last five matches with victory away to lowly Keymer & Hassocks last weekend to overtake a Lindfield outfit on its free week.

Woodroffe said: “It’s good to be top again and we’ve got enough to beat anyone. But we’ve got ensure we don’t get complacent.”

Currently 12 points clear of second-placed Burgess Hill, Sidley will be out to make it four from four on home soil tomorrow (Saturday, 1pm) against fifth-placed Hellingly.

“Hellingly are a good side,” added Woodroffe. “We know they’ve got some talented players so although we’re confident of winning most games, it will be difficult.”

Key all-rounder Neil Priddy is unavailable for the next three weeks. Priddy is the fifth highest wicket-taker in the division with 15 victims at 15.27 and possesses the fifth highest batting average with 133 runs at 66.5.

But Chris Deeprose looks as though he has recovered from a leg injury and Paul Nice should return.
