A bench was unveiled in Alexandra Park on Saturday in memory of murdered schoolgirl Billie-Jo Jenkins.
Now, more than a decade on from her death, a lasting monument to the popular teenager has been made.

A 'child-friendly' bench in Alexandra Park, only a stones throw from Billie-Jo's Lower Park Road home, was unveiled by councillor Godfrey Daniel on Saturday.

Friends of Billie-Jo raised the money for the bench which has been designed by local artist Joc O'Hare.

It is a long, low bench made from locally felled English Oak and has been engraved with a message to Billie-Jo from her friends.
