News from Westfield

HALLOWEEN: This afternoon, the special party for Halloween takes place in the Community Hall, 4pm to 6pm, for £1 plus an apple. This is for primary school-age children and should be good fun thanks to the mums who decided to organise it. It would be appreciated if the older children who take to the streets after dark would please observe the posters that some residents are displaying which indicate non-participation in this custom.
PLOUGH: Tonight (Friday), the Dare to Wear Pink Contest is at The Plough Inn on the Moor. Entry is by a £2 donation for Breast Cancer Awareness and a £15 meal prize each will be presented for the best dressed female and male. Also, tickets for the Christmas raffle are available, also the Christmas menu.

Nine Thirty Start at 9.30am followed by Parish Eucharist at 10.30am. You are welcome for Morning Prayer which is said in church at 9.30am Monday to Friday and lasts about 20 minutes.
FUNERALS: Two funerals of much loved Westfield residents take place next week.

All friends are welcome afterwards at the farm to reminisce on Anne's life and the part she played in the lives of so many. Anne loved flowers but, by request, at her funeral they will be from the family only.
