MORE than 100 people came along when Rye dance academy Splitz held an Open Day at Rye Sports Centre on Saturday.
The aim of the event was to showcase their new refurbished studio, which has mirrors and barre.
It was also an opportunity fo prospective students to meet the Splitz team and join in activities.
Splitz Principal Stacey Caister said: “Great fun was had by all. There was hula hooping, dance displays, foot printing onto canvas and a school photograph with food and drink available.
“I was delighted with the turn-out and look forward to teaching at the studio with its added benefits of mirrors and air conditioning in the summer months.
“To see the School grow over the past four years has been brilliant and for us now to be based in Rye at such a fantastic venue, which children and parents can enjoy at the same time, is wonderful.
“I now look forward to the rest of the busy summer term with fetes, exams, a summer show and Summer School with the students at our “new home”.
“Students are accepted from 18 months through to adults, and lessons are offered in traditional styles such as Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Street and Musical Theatre as well as the more adventures classes such as Adult Hula Hoop Aerobics, Mums Bums and Tums, Elite Dance Academy for experienced dancers, Baby Dance and Fun and Funky Active Dance.
“We are also launching a new Saturday School which will be held every week 10.30-12.30 for 6 years plus to incorporate Musical Theatre with fun, games and activities whilst confidence building in performance technique.”
