British singer-songwriter adds a Bexhill date to her UK tour

TICKETS go on sale today (Friday) for the Bexhill date of singer/songwriter Alison Moyet’s UK tour.

During a long and varied career, Alison Moyet has sold more than two million albums, with all seven of her studio albums reaching the top 30.

She is particularly known for her bluesy voice, and began her professional career with synth pop duo Yazoo in the 1980s before going solo.

Her hits include Is This Love, Love Letters, and All Cried Out.

Her album The Minutes , which forms the backbone of the tour that will bring her to the De La Warr Pavilion on March 30 next year, was released in May.

The Minutes went in at number five in the UK Album charts.

This tour places The Minutes centre-stage, but will also focus on the significant electronic material in her back catalogue.

“I’m entirely made up by the brilliant response to my new album,” said Alison. “In truth I love it, so I find them to be right!

“Even so, it’s always a splendid surprise when someone manages to find us in such a busy playing field. Now I tour. My best thing ever.”

Tickets are on sale as of 10am this morning (October 11).
