The redoubtable Mrs Yarringtons reopens for 2016 and features multi-award winning singer songwriter Ben Maggs who is an artist not to be missed – as attested by rapturously appreciative capacity audiences.

With a live set described as ‘mesmerising’ and a ‘stunning voice’ being talked about all over the place, it is because of the undeniably high quality of his song writing, guitar and vocal performance that Ben Maggs really entertains. He plays at Mrs Yarrington’s Music Club at the Senlac Inn in Battle on February 2 at 8pm.

Evocative vocals and melodic lyricism, the energetic “nothing held back” visceral nature of his performance and engaging inter-song storytelling, all carried exquisitely by resonant acoustic guitar - you can expect nothing less than the full and free expression of the heart and soul of this talented troubadour.

Ben’s unique style, lyrics and melodies brilliantly reflect life’s journey, infused with the heartbeat of the natural and concrete world, and the many good folk met along the way.

He will be performing songs from his new debut album, intertwined with a patchwork of his other creations - from his EP ‘Let in the Light’ to recently penned songs.

Others have said “his voice is utterly unique and individual” “mesmerising” 4 stars - Maverick Magazine and “presses all the right buttons” - R2 Magazine. Info and tickets (from £10) www.mrsy.co.uk or 07794821454
