Next performance for Hastings choir

Hastings Philharmonic Choir - conducted by Marcio Da Silva - will hold a spectacular concert on Saturday July 9 at 5pm in Christchurch, St Leonards.

The endlessly popular Faure’s Requiem will be performed, with its beautiful melodies, and, providing stylistic contrast, Carissimi’s Jephte which is a Baroque masterpiece that intersperses exquisite narrative melodies with atmospheric choral swells. Imagine the score to a 1950s Hollywood biblical epic and you’re almost there!

The choir is delighted that the Sedlescombe School Choir will be participating in this evening following their recent success at the Hastings Rotary Schools Choir Competition. They will perform the Requiem’s superb ‘Pie Jesu’ and another special item.
