The concert begins with Puccini’s Messa di Gloria. This operatic yet ecclesiastical work is a forerunner of his ever popular operas and sheer joy to sing and listen to. The second half of the concert is Poulenc’s Gloria. This work strikes a glorious balance between the exuberance and solemnity of Church music, with many jazzy overtones.

BCS is delighted to welcome back three popular soloists well-known to Bexhill audiences: Sophie Pullen, Gary Marriott and Barnaby Beer.
