This live performances will be a highlight of the Bexhill Music Festival which is now in its tenth year. It will take place on Thursday June 2 from 7.30pm and tickets cost from £17-32 from 01424 229111 or www.dlwp.com.

Join the world famous orchestra for an evening of outstanding classical music from favourite Romantic Composers. Led by the internationally acclaimed and Sussex-based conductor Brian Wright and joined by the winner of the 2016 Hastings Piano Competition, Tzu-Yin Huang, the Orchestra will perform some well-loved pieces in this exciting summer concert.

Having topped Classic FM’s Ultimate Hall of Fame to be named the most popular classical work from the past 15 years, the centrepiece of the evening’s programme is without a doubt one of the most popular works ever written for the piano: Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2.

Bringing a distinctly Romantic feel to the evening will be Smetana’s exhilarating Overture to his first, and most enduring comic opera, The Bartered Bride and Tchaikovsky’s turbulent Symphony No.5 which remains one of the composers most admired large-scale creations.

Bexhill Music Festival has aimed to bring top musicans to the town to perform and has a wide array of events; pick up your free copy of this year’s Festival handbook from the DLWP, Abbott & Abbott estate agents, No 48 Devonshire Road and other town centre outlets.
