What a great parish Assembly: was had on March 21 with very good reports and very good refreshments from the Cross Inn. I must say the report from Christopher - our Priest in Charge, made you feel that one should go to church. It was a good report from the children of Bodiam Primary School and what about the report Karen Stafford, General manager of the national Trust, who said that the Trust would bring back Father Christmas. The chairman put in some work for this, but he feels the Bodiam children must get a look-in. He will talk to his best friend - his only friend - William Past, who I am sure in time will go on to great things in the National Trust.

It will be a very sad Parish Assembly: on March 21st at 7pm for 7.30pm, as it will be Rother District Councillor Sue Prochak’s last assembly at the Bodiam Church of England Primary School. I am sure would like to see her friends from Bodiam at the Assembly.

I saw a letter: from the Conquest Hospital to a resident in Bodiam about an out-patient appointment and in it is said that every missed appointment cost the NHS at least £190 and it also means that someone else has to wait longer. We must keep resources as efficient as possible.

It was good to hear: from the brave John Saxby, from Levetts Lane, who is now out of hospital. after his operation at the Conquest and who has told me that he will soon be mowing his grass again.. We do all sometimes forget the people who care for us and must not forget what they do for us.

I know some of the staff: who work really hard for the village primary school and I cannot see why the Ofsted rating says it requires improvement. This will not help parents and guardians to send their children to the school.

I must say a big thank you to the Men of God: our Priest in Charge Christopher to that man of many parts, Churchwarden Graham Peters, who both did all they could to help me the other week. I will not forget you both when I walk around St Giles Churchyard.
