It will be a very sad Parish Assembly: on March 21st at 7pm for 7.30pm, as it will be Rother District Councillor Sue Prochak’s last assembly at the Bodiam Church of England Primary School. I am sure would like to see her friends from Bodiam at the Assembly.

I saw a letter: from the Conquest Hospital to a resident in Bodiam about an out-patient appointment and in it is said that every missed appointment cost the NHS at least £190 and it also means that someone else has to wait longer. We must keep resources as efficient as possible.

Sad to report: that Tom Churcher has passed away. Tom was 89 and was Churchwarden and Hon Secretary of St Giles Church. The funeral will take place today (February 22) at St Giles Church.

It was good to hear: from the brave John Saxby, from Levetts Lane, who is now out of hospital. after his operation at the Conquest and who has told me that he will soon be mowing his grass again.. We do all sometimes forget the people who care for us and must not forget what they do for us.

I know some of the staff: who work really hard for the village primary school and I cannot see why the Ofsted rating says it requires improvement. This will not help parents and guardians to send their children to the school.

I am sure that everyone: in Bodiam has had the waste and recycling collection calendar for 2019. The Christmas and New year collections are Friday December 28 and Friday January 4. The Wednesday January 9 collection will be on January 10 and things return to normal from January 16.
