Eastbourne store plans expansion

Dunelm Mill in Hampden Park’s Marshall Road is behind an application to reconfigure the store and add a mezzanine level.

In a design and access statement submitted with the planning application to Eastbourne council, a spokesperson said, “The proposed development is progressed to allow Dunelm to display and sell a deeper range of furniture, soft furnishings and other household goods within the store as well as provide for improved customer circulation and room setting displays reflecting the operator’s latest business model requirements.

“Dunelm’s concept is to provide a one-stop shop to furnish a room or home.”
