Hastings shopping centre confirms reopening date
Priory Meadow Shopping Centre will fully reopen to customers on April 12, it has been announced.
Non-essential stores including Primark, H&M and Pandora, will open their doors back up to shoppers, joining the likes of M&S and Boots who have remained open during lockdown as essential businesses.
Personal care services will also be allowed to reopen, allowing Divine Beauty, located in the main mall, to restart beauty treatments.
Andy Harvey, centre manager at Priory Meadow, said: “This has been a long time coming and we are extremely excited to welcome shoppers back to Priory Meadow and to see the centre buzzing again.
“We really encourage the community to come and shop local and support our stores and their employees, who are ready to welcome you back with personable friendly service, which we are sure you have all been missing.”
Covid-safe policies will remain in place including social distancing and the use of facemasks. Hand sanitiser will continue to be provided throughout the shopping centre.
Shoppers will be able to dine alfresco at PizzaExpress from April 12 with bookings now being taken on their website. Takeaway and outdoor seating will also be available at 1066 Café.
In the road map set out by the government, cafes and restaurants are due to fully reopen on May 17, meaning soon visitors may also be able to dine-in with friends at the likes of Muffin Break, 1066 Café and PizzaExpress.
Although April 12 is the earliest date non-essential retail can reopen, it is worth checking with individual stores for exact dates and timings.
Government guidelines are subject to change at short notice.
