‘Excellent’ GCSE results for Hassocks school

The schools says, that despite the national controversy, its students have done well.
Head Jen Weeks said: “I am proud of our students’ many achievements, not only the academic ones, which are celebrated today. There were strong results in Art with two students gaining a grade 7.

Hide Ad“Maths and English GCSE results were also highly positive with 75 per cent of students who were entered for Maths gaining a 4 or higher and 71 per cent of those entered for English gaining a 4 or higher.
“There was 100 per cent pass rate in statistics.
“On behalf of those students moving on to pursue FE College placements or apprenticeships we wish them well and we look forward to welcoming back those who will commence their Level 3 studies.
“We do however also appreciate there will be a number of students who will need additional support and guidance as they look at next steps for the future and so all of our efforts here at LVS Hassocks will be in channelled into providing one to one support sessions both in person and online.”
