A surprise visitor on the sofa

Roger and Camilla Whitby had a surprise intruder at their Kirdford home over the weekend.

Camilla was interviewing a new au pair and took her to see rooms that are part of the living quarters associated with the post.

There they were confronted by this fox, which had settled in happily on the sofa and was contemplating a computer on the desk.

"We have no idea how he had managed to get in. But I put some ladders up at the window outside to capture him on a picture.

"We rang the RSPCA to see if they could help rehabilitate him, but they were too busy. In the end I had to shoo him out, but he didn't really want to go. He was much too comfortable," said Roger.
