Families from across the area are once again being invited to join the Mewsbrook Park Fun Day on April 11.

The action, staged by Mewsbrook Park Café, will be supporting CancerWise, a charity which supports families and suffers of cancer.

It’s a topic particularly close to the park café’s owner, David Chace.

“I lost my father four years ago through cancer and my wife lost her father last year – that was through cancer,” he said. “It’s something everyone is aware of but until you actually have close contact with the terrible disease; it’s just something in the background.”

The fun day, compered by Darren Power of Studio One disco, will be packed with attractions, from face-painting, bouncy castles and Pro-Coaching Football Academy, to live entertainment from Celebration Samba, Zumba displays from Dani & Stuart Zumba, Zumba with Sally and The Wonder Girls.

Littlehampton Dog Training Club are back yet again to host their popular dog show, with six categories ranging from the pooch with the ‘waggiest’ tail and prettiest bitch, to the most handsome dog.
