Alice Brown, aged 14, organised a music concert at her school to raise money for St Leonard’s teenage mental health charity Believe in You Teens, which helps young adults deal with mental health issues.

The charity supported Alice through a tough time a few years ago and Alice wanted to give something back to help others.

She enlisted the help of her older sister Lucy and other musicians and dancers to perform at the concert at Claverham Community College.

Alice’s mum Tanya said: “The concert was brilliant. Alice had hoped to fill the first few rows but she ended up with around 200 people in the audience.

“She played instruments and sang a song she composed, which went down well.

“She was amazed when I told her she’d won the Outstanding Young Person of the Month Award because of her efforts. It’s been great for her to get it and I’m very proud of her.”
