Angmering school showcases talents

STUDENTS showcased their musical and dramatic talents at The Angmering School.

Hundreds of youngsters took part in the summer celebration performance in front of a packed crowd of proud parents and expectant teachers.

Under the direction of drama teachers Andrew Wallis and Vicki Scales, the performance combined the expert thespian talents of the year-nine drama class in their rib-tickling rendition of the comedy, Totally Over You, with the school’s Theatre in Education group’s portrayal of the thought-provoking play, I Didn’t Think.

Other students also got into the swing of things, with years seven and 10 taking to the stage in an energetic dance routine designed to highlight both political and environmental issues, all expertly choreographed by dance teacher, Lucia Cordani.

There were also outstanding performances from the school’s choir, with students Tom Phillips, Maddie Struik, Amy Gage and Florence Funnell all hitting the high notes during their individual solos.

Music teacher Hannah Crocker, who directed the performance alongside her colleague, Dan Godsmark, said: “The school is very proud of the students who performed this evening, and we very much look forward to our next show together.”
