Angmering's A-team

THE Angmering School's sixth-formers gained the best A level results in the school's history, with an overall 99.5 per cent pass rate.

Dave Oakes, director of post-16 studies, was delighted with the results. "They are superb. The staff and students have worked extremely hard and are now rightfully enjoying the rewards."

Individual successes included three As and a B for Paul Challis, an A and three Bs for Gemma Budd, and Neil Shah's A and two Bs.

Head teacher David Brixey said the results, improving for the third year in a row, were another illustration of the continuing development and strength of the sixth form. "These results are a clear representation of the high quality of learning and teaching here at Angmering, post-16."

Mr Oakes said it had been "a real pleasure working with a group of such fine and hard-working young people".

He added: "I am sure they will continue to be sucessful in their chosen individual fields."
