RYE residents will have a chance to quiz their local councillors and catch up with what the council has been doing when the Annual Town Meeting takes place at Tilling Green Community Centre on Wednesday March 7. Registration is at 6.30pm for 7pm start.
Rye Town Clerk Richard Farhall said: “This is your annual opportunity to meet with your town, district and county councillors and discuss issues affecting the town with them and other townsfolk.”
There will be presentations on developments at the Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital and an introduction to the Rye Police Priority Setting Panel.
The chairmen of council committees, including planning and public services, will outline their remits and report on activities in the past year.
There will also be updates on the Rye Heritage Centre and Rye Emergency Action Community Team.
An open session will be held at the meeting with plenty of time for questions.
