Armistice Day: Hundreds turn out to remember in Rye

Hundreds turned out for Rye's Remembrance Day service at St Mary's Church this morning (Sunday).

The special service included a centenary reading by Colonel Anthony Kimber, president of Rye Royal British Legion, a sermon by the Rev Fiona Gill with a solo by Kate Rogers.

Fifty wreaths were laid at the War Memorial.

After the civic event, a lunch was held at The George for the Royal British Legion and guests, including the Mayor of Rye, Cllr Michael Boyd.
