Artist puts cows in the frame

AN artist is giving her customers what they want - cows!

Anna Wilson-Patterson runs the Arts Hut in Gardner Street, Herstmonceux.

She kept asking customers what sort of art they liked and they requested cow paintings.

She has been kept busy painting life-sized cows on canvas.

The artist did her first painting of a large cow's bottom with two cow faces and displayed it in the gallery window.

She said: 'Everybody seemed to love the cow painting, people said it made them smile.

'After a month, when I changed the display, villagers asked me to put the painting back up.

'They said it cheered them in the mornings on their way to work.'

A farmer bought the first cow painting.

The Arts Hut has now gone cow-crazy with paintings all over the gallery walls.

Mrs Wilson-Patterson wants to paint young Limousin bullocks seen grazing behind Herstmonceux Recreation ground.
