Ashburnham and Penhurst WI are next meeting on Monday October 21, where they will hold their AGM. This gives an opportunity for the group to report in the past year and elect their committee members for the coming year. Once the business is complete, Gill Ratcliffe will be liven things up with one of her excellent quizzes. All meetings are at 7.30pm in the Village Hall and include refreshments and time for chat. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

The East Sussex County Council Mobile Library service will next be in Ashburnham (by the chapel) on Thursday October 24, 9.50am - 10.10am.

The Afternoon Book Group next meets today, Friday October 25 at 2pm. This months book is Angus Wilson’s ‘The Old Men at the Zoo’, a story of power struggles, with a threat of violence. If you would like more information get in touch with Nicky on 01424 892474.
