ASH TREE INN FUN DAY: The Ash Tree Inn are holding a Fun Day to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity on July 26 from 4 p.m. There will be a range of activities from Tug of War to an Egg and Spoon race. FLOWER SHOW AND FETE: The 7th Annual Flower Show and Fete is on Saturday, August 15, 2 - 5 p.m. at Ashburnham Sports Field. Produce, flower and vegetable classes, art and craft, children’s classes. Refreshments, WI tent and other attractions on the field. Schedules are available at www.ashpengc.org.uk. Pitches on the field are available for local people and businesses to sell produce or other items and raise funds for their own organisation or charity. WI: Ashburnham & Penhurst WI are meeting on Monday, August 17, 7.30 p.m. at the Village Hall. This months meeting will be a Willow Weaving demonstration. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
VILLAGE LUNCH: The next Village Lunch is on August 19, at Penhurst retreat Centre, 12.30 p.m. Lunch is cooked every month for any older residents in the villages who would like a bit of company and a delicious meal.
