In their relentless pursuit of sporting perfection (after winning the recent bowling match against the WI), the MI men prepare for the fourth Ashburnham and Penhurst Golf championship this month. There is still time to enter and you don’t need any particular talent (it hasn’t stopped most of them for the last three years!) You don’t even need clubs and any inadequacies are shared as each gent is paired up to play as a team. Please consider whether you can give it a go... There is even a trophy for the winners of this one! Let Richard know if you are interested or if you would like additional information. Also, if you haven’t yet turned up at the Ash on the second Tuesday evening of the month, then DO try it out. It is a great way of getting to know more village folk. Please contact Richard 01424 893130
Do you have any old photos or interesting documents of Ashburnham that you would be happy to lend to the Diamond Jubilee Committee to add to the exhibition planned for Monday June 4? The Committee are looking for photos, maps, newspaper articles, old minutes relating to the parish - to display in the marquee. Please contact Gill Ratcliffe on 01424 892674 or you can email your photos directly to Gill (please ring for an email address).
