Back to school? Monday morning sees most schools open

Business as usual this morning for many of the town's schools, though a lucky few enjoy one more snow day.

For the secondary schools, St Richard's Catholic College opens up, as does the Down Road campus of Bexhill High. The Gunters Lane site remains closed.

All Saints CofE Junior School opened from 9.30am-3pm. Pebsham Community Primary and Sidley Community Primary followed the same opening hours.

Charters Ancaster remains open. Chantry Community Primary, King Offa Primary and Ninfield CofE Primary are all open, as is Little Common Primary where pupils will be bolstered by a fish and chip lunch.

St Peter and St Paul Church of England Primary closed after their boiler pumps failed, leaving the building without heating. St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary and Battle Abbey Prep and Nursery are closed.

Bexhill College is open for students with exams and staff only. No evening classes will be running.

Glyne Gap School is open but some transport is not working. Anyone in doubt should check with the school on 01424 217720 for details.
