Barnhan free film showing promotes peace

A free film showing is being held in Barnham to promote peace.

The documentary, The Day After Peace, records the efforts by Jeremy Gilley at the UN and other organisations to have a special day recognised for peace each September.

Barnham gift shop owner Peta Pallett has organised the screening for 3pm on September 20, at the Barnham Bridge Inn in the village centre.

Entry will be free. She has also arranged a barbecue.

She said: "It's so important, especially in these times, for everybody to try to put aside their differences and come together rather than see themselves as different religions and races."
