Choral concert: BATTLE Choral Society’s celebration concert will be held at Christ Church, St Leonards, on May 19 to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
There will be a retiring collection in aid of the Royal British Legion.

BATTLE’S Parish Assembly will take place in the Battle Memorial Hall on May 9.
Battle Town Council will be circulating a copy of its Annual Report, together with full details of the Assembly itself, to every household.
This is not only the opportunity to hear from county, district and town councillors about what has been happening in the local area but for residents to put questions to those councillors.
Rather than an open forum, the assembly will repeat the structured ‘Question Time’ session.

BATTEL Bonfire Boyes will hold a boot sale on Sunday April 29, 7am-1pm in the field next to the Squirrel Inn, North Trade Road, Battle.

BATTLE Flower Club’s next meeting will take place on May 1 at the Guide Hut in the North Trade Road recreation ground, Battle, 7pm for 7.30pm.
It will be an open meeting and will feature a demonstration by Jackie Arnold.
THE next meeting of RAFA Battle Branch (pub lunch followed by meeting) scheduled for today (Friday) has been cancelled.
The branch will next meet on Friday May 25, details of which will be advised later.
Details of the proposed trip to the Battle of Britain Memorial, Capel le Ferne, will be advised to interested members shortly.
ROBERTSBRIDGE Guides, Brownies and Rainbows will hold a jumble sale on Saturday May 12, 10am–noon in the Church Room, Fair Lane, Robertsbridge.
If anyone has any jumble, including clothes, bric-a-brac, books and toys, the group will be happy to collect it.
