Battle Police has donated £500 to Robertsbridge Youth Centre to help keep it open.
The centre is used by a variety of groups, also providing a space for supporting excluded school pupils, adult education classes, mother and toddler groups, plus many others.
Tracey Ash, extended schools co-ordinator at Robertsbridge Community College, said: “We are pleased to receive this donation for Robertsbridge Youth Centre.
“The centre is open seven days a week, all day, including evenings and provides somewhere safe and secure for young people to go for various activities.
“Lack of space for provision for young people is a major problem in this rural area. It is a much needed facility and we are keen to keep it open, so all communities can benefit.”
