One of the most colourful and vibrant events in Battle’s social calendar returned over the Bank Holiday weekend for two days of medieval merriment.
Along with the obligatory dancing around the maypole, Battle Medieval Fayre also featured talks by Hands of History, a chance to try on medieval armour and weaponry, a heroic display from Battle’s own Knights of the Realm and the children of Battle and Langton School once again led the parade down the High Street.
Molly Hill was crowned May Queen.
The event was organised by the Battle and District Chamber of Commerce.
