The annual Flower Festival at All Saints’ Church will be taking place this weekend.
The church will be open from 10am to 5.30pm on Friday, September 21st and Saturday 22nd, and on Sunday 23rd there will be a Family Service at 10.am in addition to the usual weekly celebration of Holy Communion at 8am and then the church will be open for the rest of the day.
Please visit our lovely church when it is at its most beautiful. There will be refreshments available, and a special corner of interest to children. Pam Cole grave (253177) would be glad to hear from anyone who could help with supplying or serving food and drink, and Jenny Als (230324) would like to hear from anyone who could help with decorating the church, or donating produce, small plants, preserves etc. for a “mini-market”.
Beckley HORTICULTURAL SHOW tomorrow Saturday 22nd September 2 p.m. Beckley Village Centre.
Entry forms can be delivered to Mrs Phil Maynard at Church Farm House or enter on the day between 10 am & 11 am.
Refreshments will be served in the afternoon. Please have a look and see if you can enter something I know there a lot of you who have been growing your own veggies this summer why not enter them? It only costs 25p a class. It’s very friendly, good fun and you get a rosette if you come 1st, 2nd or 3rd even cash prices! Exhibits to be drop off at village hall 10-11am judging at 2pm.
We still need some help with this Sunday’s Beckley 10K. If you’re not running it and you know you really should do we need marshals to help on the course and at the Village Centre.
This is always a good village event and there is a children’s 1 Mile race and a Fun Run of just over 2 miles for those who feel the 10k might be just that little bit too far. Application forms will soon be available in the Village. Or you can enter online at www.runnersworld.co.uk or www.runbritain.com. All runners receive a medal and finish line goodies of homemade cakes and beer!

Don’t forget Jempsons Bus service. They run a daily bus service for customers without their own cars, the elderly and those with mobility problems, to the Peasmarsh Superstore.
The service runs through Beckley every Monday and Tuesday (once in the morning, then again in the afternoon) calling at the Rose & Crown then Four Oaks, the bus will conveniently stop anywhere if it is safe to do so in-between these points.

Beckley Buzzy Bees Toddler Group. They meet at the Beckley Village Hall, Every Wednesday morning from 9.15 to 11.15.Supported by the Playgroup and a qualified member of staff is on hand during the session to assist with the organisation and to coordinate events. Speakers are regularly arranged and a “healthy snack time” is part of the session. Dog fouling isn’t just unpleasant, it’s illegal.
