Bexhill plans in the pipeline

THE following planning applications have been received from Rother District Council:

Bexhill College, Penland Road – improvement to current external “field” area to provide new outside recreational area.

• 51 Knebworth Road – extension to dormer window.

• 14 Beaulieu Road – proposed garage conversion to form additional living accommodation – existing garage roof is to be raised in order to give additional height internally, existing mono-pitched false roof to pool room adjacent is to extended in height. Formation of dormer roof to upper level housing bedroom accommodation (concealed by previously stated raising of pool room mono-pitch roof).

• 23 South Cliff – proposed internal alterations which affect some material changes to external elevations.

• 3 Brett Drive, Unit 1, Brett Tyres – MOT testing station and vehicle repairs – change of use to B2.

• Devonshire Arms, Devonshire Square – two non illuminated blinds/awnings. Two internally illuminated menu boxes. One face illuminated entrance sign. (retrospective)

• Edmar Court, Middlesex Road – removal of an existing garage and replace with two timber garden sheds.

• 2A Sackville Road – erection of three storey building comprising A3/A5 commercial unit on ground floor with 1 flat and 1 maisonette.

• 14B Marina Court Avenue – to replace existing cast iron railings and repair existing supporting brickwork at the above premises. The new railings will match the existing design. The ornate centre design will be a copy of the railings installed at no.10 Marina Court Avenue in 2009.
