Hastings and Rother Voluntary Association for the Blind is holding an Information Day on Tuesday November 29 at 3 Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards, from 9.30am - 4pm.

It is an opportunity for people to meet the local Guide Dogs Mobility Team and learn about the services it offers.

Free training courses will be running throughout the day, starting at 9.30am.

People can confirm a place on a training course by emailing [email protected] or by calling the Maidstone Mobility Team on 01189 838711.

The training is aimed at helping blind, or partially sighted people to regain their confidence and get out and about on their own terms.

Simon Cope said: “Trained My Guide Volunteers are matched with service users and together they set and work towards mobility goals and objectives such as increasing confidence and independence and joining activities. within the local community such as Health Walks or social clubs
