13 Levetts Lane

I have put in a lot of very hard work about the old police station in Bodiam. I was born in Bodiam so many years ago and this is the place for the next Amicus Horizon Levetts Lane Estate Inspection on June 19 from 10.45am - 11am.

I made a phone call to Amicus Horizon. The date and times are right but the meeting place is in the playground. Bodiam does not have a police station and I cannot remember if it did in the past.

No further copies of the Parish News will be delivered I am sorry to say if subs remain unpaid at the end of May.

Thanks are long overdue to the Bodiam distributor who goes out in all weathers to drop off copies.

The next Cricket Club fixture is on June 2 away to Buxted Park.

The next service at St Giles is on Sunday June 2 at 11.15am and will be a family service conducted by Gordon the vicar.

I sometimes wish that Bodiam was a small village. You get to know each other and sadly we have too many people who are not in the best of health.

People tell you about their health and you just stand there and wish you could help them, but my thoughts are with them all the time if that is any help.

Four groups in Bodiam have had good news - The Bodiam Church of England Primary School PTA. Bodiam Community Friends, The Castle Inn Fireworks Night and the National Trust’s Bodiam Castle all had money from the Police Property Act Fund that is made up of property confiscated by order of the courts and then sold on.

I do feel we must say a big thank you to our PCSO Demi for all his help. We cannot do without you Demi.

Congratulations to the Bodiam Parish Council Clerk Vivienne Davies who now has a CILCA qualification. This will now make Bodiam Parish Council one of the best in East Sussex. All we need now is the chairman, who I know very well, to get some qualification.

I hope all went well for our St Giles Church Lay Reader Jenny Liverton after her toe operation and that she will soon be running around like a young greyhound.
